Remember when I said useless immigrants become masons or engravers?Įither I set the workshops to produce rock block on repeat (which stack, and provide higher values to constructions (not that it matter), or just throw 90 blocks worth of work orders in the manager queue whenever I'm running low.īonus of this is you end up with pretty solid masons, which you can also put to use on large construction megaprojects. That's the storage part, but what do you do with all that stone? Things like metal bars and coke are kept in stockpiles the floor below the workshops. The bottom storage floor also has special designated piles for ore and coal. Each successive upper floor give to the floor below it, meaning the bottom floor is always full. On the bottom floor I have my workshops, meaning they'll always just be a set of stairs (or less, if I set up piles on that floor) away from their rock. They're fairly large on each level, with rows of stair running the length across, three spaces between each row. ![]() ![]() I'm the kinda guy who actually builds huge, multilayer stone stockpiles, because I'm a chump. Generally, any useless immigrant become masons or engravers in my fortresses (I engrave EVERYTHING).
